9/9 Tailgating

Are you ready for some football?!? The regular season for the NFL starts this weekend and Kimball Office DC is excited! To help you prepare for this weekend, we have created a great Tailgating Guide for everyone from beginners to seasoned pros!

New Things To Try In The Area:

Hill Country Barbecue Market
This New York favorite has recently opened in DC! Honoring the bbq and music capital State  of Texas, Hill Country has created classic american meals with a new twist! With takeout and catering, Hill Country would be perfect for an easy, no preparation tailgate meal! Our favorites on the menu include: The Beef Ribs, The Market Chicken, The Original Kreuz Sausage, The Longhorn Cheddar Mac and Cheese, The Confetti Cole Slaw, The Skillet Cornbread Wedges, and the PB & J Cupcakes. For the entire menu, click here.

The DC location interior, at 410 7th Street NW

Delicious food at Hill Country, which is perfect for tailgating at home or at the game!

Product Of The Week!
This week we are highlighting our favorite go-to lounge chair. Kimball Office & Interstuhl have come up with the ideal way to relax. Fit can best be described as an unorthodox approach to comfort. Thinking about a chair to relax in at the field? While sticking to the tailgating theme, our Fit chair can easily be taken apart at home and put back together at your final destination, lets say the parking lot of FedEx Field maybe? This visual spectacle wraps around your body and secures you with the utmost comfort.
Relax in style in the Fit chair
Always ready for action, the Kimball Office Fit chair

"When does a seat become a seat? When you sit in it. Fit is a new philosophy in sitting. The carefully engineered zones adapt to and support your every position for a uniquely comfortable and liberating experience. Everyone has to sit in Fit at least twice: the first time to be surprised, the second time to be convinced and enjoy." —CHRISTINE LÜDEKE, PRODUCT DESIGNER.

The Kimball Office & Interstuhl Fit chair comes in green, red, black, and grey.

Cool Things We Love: Tailgating Guide!

1. Food
  • Food is the center of the tailgate, so be sure to have a great meal laid out with all the tailgating favorites! Some of these favorite staples include: Chips and Dip, Chili, Burgers and Hotdogs, Potato Salad, Chicken, Wings, Meatballs, and Desserts.
  • One of our favorite GameDay food guides is by Celebrity Chef Guy Fieri.
  • Kimball Office suggests Chili as the tailgate staple: It's simple, only takes one pot, and is a crowd pleaser. Chili could even be made at home and re-heated at the game! A great chili recipe is Pat's Famous Beef and Pork Chili from Food Network.
  • A simpler way to go is to get your tailgate catered. A group menu from Ben's Chili Bowl or 40 wings from Georgetown Wing Co. would be delicious!

2. Know The Rules
3. Equipment

Making sure you have all the proper equipment is essential for any tailgate! You will need items including: plastic and paper ware, a grill (if necessary for cooking), appropriate items for the weather (blankets, rain jackets, etc.), trash bags, seats, music, coolers, and a foldable table.
Not all of these items are necessary at a tailgate, but the more prepared you are, the better!

4. Games
Kimball Office's favorite tailgating game is Cornhole. It is great to get you in the the "sporty" spirit! Got any homemade sets ready for your tailgate?

Baltimore Ravens bean bag set, can't play without them!

Custom Washington Redskins boards.
5. Apparel
Always show team spirit at a football game!

This week we are focusing on not just one, but two products manufactured by our partner company Interstuhl. As one of the most ergonomic chairs that Kimball Office & Interstuhl have to offer, the Mitos chair has been coined "The mover and the changer." Mitos' versatility and functionality are paired with pure comfort and style.

The Mitos Mobile is a great partner for the Mitos chair, as they work together to create the ultimate seating experience. The Mitos Mobile can be converted from a lecturn to a laptop table and doubles as another chair.
