February 22nd - 26th, watch all of the Oscar movies that you missed! This is a free event that shows movies from the categories of: Documentary Feature, Documentary Short Subject, Live Action Short Film, and Animated Short Film. For more information on this great event, click here.

Oscar Night Baltimore 
Come decked out in "creative cocktail" to Pazo Restaurant in Baltimore for Oscar Night Baltimore! With tickets being $125 per person, you receive: live entertainment, auctions, of course some great snacks, open bar, dancing, and a live viewing on the Oscars. For ticket information, click here.

This week Kimball Office has a fun filled blog with lots of great events to try out! Starting in New Things To Try In The Area, we highlight all of the upcoming additions and already great attractions in the 14th Street Corridor! Then in the Cool Things We Love section we list some fun events to do on Valentines day for singles, families, or couples. We also highlight the GSA  summit in our In The News Section and has a long list of fun events in our Upcoming Events Section. In The News! 4th Annual GSA Summit
Join Bisnow's 4th Annual GSA Summit to hear how you can respond better to the largest tenant in DC- The GSA! This year, there is a great lineup of speakers including: GSA's Cathy Kronopolus, JBG's Rod Lawrence, Jones Lang LaSalle's Marcy Owens Test, and Washington Management Group's Pat Morrison. This event will be held on Tuesday February 21st from 7- 10 AM.

New Things To Try In The Area: 14th Street Corridor and U Street

The 14th Street Corridor and U Street are real hotspots right now! Check out all of these great upcoming places and recently renovated areas!


Black and Orange
Black and Orange, a burger joint on 14th Street, just opened a few days ago! 
Their burger menu works with a "pink" or "no pink" order system- for how raw or well done you want your burger.

Staying in the city late at night? Black and Orange is open until 5 am! 


The Brixton
This new English- style Pub is being brought to you by the same people behind Marvin and The Gibson. Click here to read about The Gibson in our previous post! 

This Gastropub will be adding a roof top bar and renovating the interior of this building on the corner of 9th and U street. 

The building that The Brixton will be going in to has been vacant for over 20 years, and had to be approved by Historic Preservation Review Board before approval for renovations. 

U Street Music Hall 
The U Street Music Hall has beed adding more groups in a wider range to their line up, and is having more events than usual. To check out their recent line up, click here. 

14th and W Street

Owner Mike Isabella plans on opening a greek restaurant in late 2012 or 2013 on the U Street Corridor. Isabella also owns Graffiato and the soon to open Bandolero. 

We are really excited for this opening, since Mike Isabella already has one great restaurant in DC that we featured here!

2/3 Superbowl 46

Kimball Office is so disappointed that Phil the Groundhog saw his shadow! But we are hoping that this warmer weather continues! If its warm or cold, we has pulled some great things to do in DC! The Washingtonian has put out their annual top 100 Restaurants in DC, which would be perfect for a special Valentines dinner. In our New Things To Try In The Area we have made a list of some great places to stop by and hang out during the Superbowl! Whichever team you are rooting for, Kimball Office wishes everyone a good, relaxing weekend!

Recently featured on Dining Bisnow, this new restaurant by Edan MacQuaid, which is currently unnamed, will be featuring only wood-burning flames to make delicious pizzas! 
"In a pizzeria, the oven is the heart of the restaurant", says MacQuaid. 
Kimball Office is really excited to see what this new pizzeria will bring to DC, especially with such a skilled restauranteur at the helm, working at pizzerias including- Pizzeria Paradiso, 2Amys, RedRocks, and Pizzeria Orso.
